MONOLOGUE:
Actors should prepare a 1-2 minute dramatic monologue exploring the tension of self-expression and societal constraints, echoing the central struggles reflected through The Verge. This material should navigate the following themes: Societal expectations, Passion/Individualism, Complexity/Vulnerability, Rebellion/Frustration, and Longing for Freedom.
To highlight the importance of female voices in the theatrical canon and align with the source material, it is strongly suggested to present a monologue written by a female-identifying playwright.
